day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-seven.
THE matter of this petition coming on this day for
the second hearing thereof, upon reading the said
Petition and the affidavits filed in these matters, and
upon hearing of Mr. Kenyon of counsel for the
bankrupt above named: It is ordered that George
Brodie, Esquire, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago,
Otago, Inspector in Bankruptcy for the said Province,
be and he is hereby appointed trustee of the estate and
effects of the said bankrupt, and that all the real and
personal estate of the said bankrupt shall vest in the
said trustee by virtue of his said appointment, and
shall be held by him, his heirs, executors, and
administrators (except the wearing apparel of the
bankrupt which shall be retained by him), upon and
for the following trusts and purposes, namely--
- To sell, collect, and get in, such real and per-
sonal estate, and receive the money arising therefrom,
and execute all necessary conveyances and assurances
thereof. - To retain and pay all expenses properly in-
curred of and attending such collection and getting
in. - To pay the poundage and fees payable under
the above-mentioned Acts. - To pay the costs properly incurred of and
incidental to the petition in these matters and sub-
sequent thereto, such costs to be taxed, and also all
costs and expenses in these matters which have been
or shall be ordered by the Court or by any Judge
thereof to be paid out of the estate of the bankrupt. - To distribute the net residue of the said trust
moneys between and amongst and for the benefit of
all the creditors at the time of the presentation of
his said petition and who shall duly prove their
debts by affidavit within three calendar months from
the date of this order, by way of pro rata distribu-
tion, subject to existing legal priorities, but so that
the said creditors shall not receive more than twenty
shillings in the pound upon their said respective
debts. - To pay the ultimate surplus (if any) of the said
trust moneys to the bankrupt.

In the matter of the petition of DUNCAN CAMERON
alias ROBERT REID alias JOHN REID, of Dunedin,
in the Province of Otago, grocer and butcher.
Monday, the sixth day of May, 1867.
THE matters of this petition coming on this day for
the second hearing thereof, and upon hearing Mr.
Smythies, of counsel for the bankrupt: It is ordered
that George Brodie, of Dunedin aforesaid, Inspector
in Bankruptcy, be and he is hereby appointed trustee
of the estate and effects of the said bankrupt; and
it is further ordered that the said George Brodie shall
stand possessed of all the said estate vested in him by
the order of Mr. Justice Richmond, made upon the
eighteenth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-seven, upon the trusts following,
that is to say :-
- To sell, collect, and get in such estate, and to
receive the moneys arising therefrom, and to execute
all necessary conveyances and assurances thereof. - To retain and pay all expenses properly incurred
of and attending such sale, collection, and getting in. - To pay all poundage and fees payable under the
Debtors and Creditors Acts now in force. - To pay all expenses properly incurred by bank-
rupt in and about his petition up to and inclusive of
the second hearing, and also all costs and expenses in
these matters which have been or shall be ordered by
this honorable Court, or by any Judge thereof, to be
paid out of the estate of the said bankrupt. All such
costs as aforesaid to be taxed by the Registrar of this
honorable Court. - To distribute the net residue of the said trust
moneys between, amongst, and for the benefit of all
the creditors of the bankrupt who were his creditors
at the time of the presentation of the said petition,
and who shall duly prove their debts by affidavit
within three calendar months from the date of this
order by way of pro rata distribution subject to exist-
ing legal priorities, but so that the said creditors shall
not receive more than twenty shillings in the pound
upon their said respective debts. - To repay the ultimate surplus (if any) of the
said trust moneys to the bankrupt.
And it is further ordered that the matter of the
said petition be further adjourned until the twenty-
fourth day of June next.

DUNEDIN Gas Light and Coke Company
(Limited).-Notice is hereby given that appli-
cation is intended to be made at the ensuing session
of the General Assembly for an Act to incorporate the
Dunedin Gas Light and Coke Company (Limited),
and that powers will be sought to be conferred on the
said Company by the said Act to hold land, to enlarge,
repair and maintain the buildings already erected
within the limits of the land now held by the said
Company under lease, containing two acres, more
or less, and being part of section numbered eleven
(11) of block seven (VII.) on the survey map of
the Town District of the Province of Otago, to break
up streets and roads, and open drains, to lay down
pipes, conduits, and service pipes, and to repair,
alter, and remove the same, to make and repair
sewers, and to use earth and materials under streets
and roads for that purpose, to erect pillars, lamp
posts and other works, to lease the undertaking, to
increase the capital of the Company, to borrow
money on mortgage or bond, to supply gas, to let
gas fittings and metres for ascertaining the quantity
of gas supplied without any such gas fittings and
metres becoming liable to distress for rent or execu-
tion, to cut off the supply of gas for the nonpayment
of rent, and to enter premises for the purpose of
taking away any metres or gas fittings so let as
aforesaid when supply cut off; and notice is hereby
further given that copies of the said Bill will be
deposited in the office of the Colonial Secretary at
Wellington, and in the Private Bill Office of the
General Assembly at the same place, within fourteen
days after the commencement of the said session.
