IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose
vested by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858,"
I, the Commissioner of Customs, do hereby appoint
and declare that
THE PORT OF BRIGHTON
shall be a Port at which persons acting as Agents
in the entrance or clearance of Ships, Goods, or
Baggage, or any business relating thereto, shall be
required to be duly licensed for that purpose.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-seven.

Warehouse, at the Port of Havelock, viz.:-
A Wooden Building, situated in Lucknow Street,
and known as
"HOUGHTON'S BONDED WAREHOUSE,"
to be a Warehouse for the reception of Goods under
Bond.

Customs Officer in Charge at Brighton, to be a
Licensing Officer under "The Arms Act, 1860."

Christchurch, 10th April, 1867.
I, GEORGE BOWRON, Registrar of Joint Stock
Companies for the Province of Canterbury, do
hereby notify that I have registered a Memorandum
of Association, with Articles of Association, establish-
"THE CANTERBURY BREWING MALTING AND
DISTILLING COMPANY (LIMITED);"
the objects of which are the purchase of the Albion
Brewery, brewing, malting, and distilling, the
purchase of materials for the above purposes, and the
kiln-drying of grain at such places as the Company
shall from time to time determine, and doing all such
other things as are incidental or conducive to the
attainment of the above objects; and that in
pursuance of the provisions of "The Joint Stock
Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a Certificate of
Incorporation of the said Company, bearing date
this tenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-seven.

In the matter of "The Patents Act, 1860," and
of Letters Patent, dated respectively the
fifteenth day of June, 1863, and the twelfth
day of October, 1866, under the Seal of
the Colony of New Zealand, granted to
CHARLES MARTIN for his inventions of
an improvement or improvements in the
manufacture of an alloy or alloys of
titanium and iron.
NOTICE is hereby given that "The New Zealand
Iron and Steel Company (Limited)," the
assignees of the abovenamed Charles Martin, of the
said inventions, have made application that the
description and specifications of certain new improve-
ments of the said original inventions may be annexed
to each of the original descriptions and specifications
of the said inventions, and recorded; and that the
Colonial Secretary may certify in the margin of such
annexed descriptions and specifications the time of
the same being annexed and recorded as aforesaid.
And any person or persons who may wish to prefer
any objection to the annexation of the description
and specifications of such new improvements and
recording thereof as aforesaid, is or are hereby re-
quired to send within four months from the publica-
tion hereof to Charles Knight, Esquire, M.D., of
Wellington, being the person appointed for that
purpose under the provisions of the said Act, a
statement in writing setting forth the grounds of
such objection, subscribed with his or their proper
name or names and address.

Dated at Wellington this fifteenth day of April,

THE Dunedin Boot and Shoe Company (Limited).
Notice is hereby given, that at an extraordinary
general meeting of the Dunedin Boot and Shoe
Company (Limited), duly convened in accordance
with "The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," on
the fourth day of February, 1867, at which the
necessary quorum was present, a special resolution
was unanimously passed "That the Dunedin Boot
and Shoe Company (Limited) should be wound up
voluntarily." And notice is hereby further given
that at another extraordinary general meeting, held
on the twenty-eighth day of March following, being
at an interval of not less than one month, nor more
than three months, from such first-mentioned meeting,
duly convened as aforesaid, at which the necessary
quorum was also present, a special resolution was
passed unanimously "That such first-mentioned
special resolution should be confirmed."
