HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint
FREDERICK WHITAKER, Esq., Government Agent
at Auckland,
to be the Commissioner, under the Regulations
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 59, of the
23rd November, 1866, for the sale and disposal of
the lands taken in the Province of Auckland for
settlement under "The New Zealand Settlements
Act, 1863," or "The New Zealand Settlements
Amendment and Continuance Act, 1865."

treatment and preparation of Flax," with all the
privileges thereunto belonging.
