In the matter of "The New Zealand Settlements
Act, 1863," and "The New Zealand Settle-
ments Amendment and Continuance Act,
1865."

Ex parte

At a sittings of the Compensation Court held at
in the Province of on the day of
and following days, before Esquires, Judges
there, upon hearing the claimants to compensation
on account of the taking of the Block, under
the authority of the said Acts or one of them by an
Order in Council made on the day of
186 , the boundaries whereof are defined in and by
the said Order in Council. And upon hearing
counsel, agents, and witnesses, as well for the
claimants as for the Crown, we the aforesaid Judges
of the said Court do hereby certify that an agree-
ment was made in our presence, between Mr.
duly authorized on behalf of the Crown, and
claimants to land at in the said Block, whereby
the said are to receive a grant of acres of
land at or near in extinguishment of the claim
of themselves and of all other persons claiming by,
through, or under them, or any of them, in to, or
out of the land claimed as aforesaid.
Dated at this day of 186 .

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, the
sixteenth day of June, 1866.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Debtors and Creditors Act
Amendment Act, 1865," it is provided that the
Governor in Council, may from time to time, frame regu-
lations for the conduct of business under "The Debtors
and Creditors Act, 1862," or the said "Debtors and
Creditors Act Amendment Act, 1865," by Registrars
of the Supreme Court, sequestrators, trustees, inspec-
tors, receivers, attorneys, and solicitors, agents,
auctioneers, and other persons employed in the
management or winding up of sequestered estates,
and may impose penalties on persons disobeying such
regulations not exceeding one hundred pounds for each
offence; and all registrars, sequestrators, trustees,
and inspectors, and all receivers, attorneys, solicitors,
agents, and auctioneers, employed as aforesaid, shall
be bound to do, observe, and perform all matters and
things whatever enjoined and required by such regu-
lations, and the Governor may from time to time
rescind, alter, or vary any such regulations. And
whereas by an Order in Council made the twenty-
third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-six, certain regulations were made and put in
force for the conduct of business under "The Debtors
and Creditors Act, 1862," and "The Debtors and
Creditors Act Amendment Act, 1865:" And whereas
it is expedient to vary Regulation number four of
such Regulations, and the Schedule thereto:

Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, doth hereby, in pursuance of
the said power and authority vested in him for this
purpose, vary the said Regulation number four, and
declare, make, and put in force the following as such
varied regulation, and the forms in the Schedule
hereto to be the forms referred to in such amended
regulation :-

"Every inspector shall keep a book of register as
well as a book that shall show a statement of all
receipts and expenditure relating to the several
estates under administration, which books shall be
open during office hours for the inspection of any
creditor who has proved his debt, and shall be in the
forms 1 and 2 prescribed in the Schedule hereunto
annexed."
