NOTICE is hereby given that CHARLES JAMES
POWNALL, of Auckland, having applied for
"Letters Patent for improvements in the treatment
and preparation of Flax, &c.," any person having
objection to prefer against the granting of such are
required to send, within four months from the
present date, to Charles Knight, Esq., of Wellington,
a statement in writing, setting forth the grounds of
such objection, and subscribed with his or their
proper names and address.

NOTICE is hereby given that the firm of "J. T.
Peacock and Co." was dissolved by effluxion of
time on the 31st December, 1862, and was recon-
stituted—Mr. J. T. Peacock retiring therefrom on
that day in favor of Mr. Charles Wesley Turner.

ERRATUM.—In Gazette No. 25, of the 7th May,
1866, page 179, in the notice of the appoint-
ment of Returning Officers, it should read, "for the
election of members of Provincial Council" instead

of Provincial Council."
