made, should be invested on the security of Deben-
tures issued by the Government of New Zealand:
Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, in
exercise of the power vested in him by the said recited
Ordinances, doth hereby, with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the Colony, order and
direct that the said sum of four hundred and thirty-
three pounds five shillings and ten pence, and every
sum which shall hereafter be so held by the said
Trustees, shall, until a direction otherwise directing
the investment of any sum so held shall be made,
shall be invested on the security of Debentures issued
by the Government of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Debtors and
Creditors Act Amendment Act, 1865," section XII., it
is enacted that "every sequestrator and trustee under
the said Act, shall deposit all moneys which he shall
receive on account of every estate in such bank as
the majority of creditors, in number and value
present at any meeting, shall appoint, and in default
of such appointment, in such bank as shall be
appointed by the Governor in Council:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the
said recited power and authority, doth hereby, by
and with the consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, appoint
The BANK OF NEW ZEALAND
to be the Bank for such deposit as aforesaid.

Savings Bank Act, 1858," I, Sir George Grey,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby nominate and appoint the persons hereinafter
named to be Trustees of the Invercargill Savings
β’ Bank, namely-

JOHN MURRAY, and
WILLIAM COCHRAN, Esquires.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Grey, Knight Commander of
the Most Honorable Order of the Bath,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, at Auck-
land, this seventeenth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from time
to time, to appoint polling places for each electoral
district within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the principal
polling place for the district, and all or any of such
other polling places in lieu thereof.
And whereas by warrants under the hand of the
Governor certain places were appointed polling
places for the Districts specified therein for the
election of Superintendent and members of the
Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury:
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same
and to appoint other Polling Places in lieu thereof:
Now know ye, that I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act,
do hereby abolish all existing polling places for the
election of Superintendent and members of the Pro-
vincial Council in the Province of Canterbury, and
do appoint in lieu thereof the following places to be
polling places for the election of Superintendent of
the said Province of Canterbury, and to be also
polling places for the election of members of the
Provincial Council of the said Province for the
respective Electoral Districts specified opposite their
names :-
