of Representatives, and do appoint in lieu
thereof:
The Court House, - Clyde Lawrence, Queens-
town, Waitahuna, Waipori, Mt. Benger.
The Court House-Arrow, Alexander, Hamil-
ton, Mt. Ida, Maori Point, Hindow,
Cromwell.
The Camp,-Dunstan Creek, Nokomai, Car-
dona, Nevis, Hyde, Blackstone Hill.
Given under my hand, at the Govern-
ment House, at Wellington, this
fourth day of March, in the year of
Our Lord, One thousand eigh hun-
dred and sixty-five.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME, GREETING:-

WHEREAS by an Act of the General As-
sembly, intituled "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it shall
be lawful for the Governor, by Warrant under
his hand, from time to time, to appoint Polling
Places for each Electoral District within or
without the limits thereof, and to appoint any
one of such places to be the Principal Polling
Place for the District, and all or any of such
Polling Places at any time to abolish, and to
appoint other Polling Places in lieu thereof.

And whereas by another Act of the General
Assembly, intituled "The Provincial Elections
Act, 1858," it is enacted that, subject to certain
provisions therein contained, every election of
the Superintendent or of a Member of the Pro-
vincial Council of a Province shall be conducted
in the manner prescribed by "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858," aforesaid, and all the pro-
visions of the said last mentioned Act shall
apply to the Elections of Superintendents and
Members of Provincial Councils.

Now know ye, that I, SIR GEORGE GREY,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance
of the power and authority in me vested by
the said Acts, do hereby appoint the following
place to be a Polling Place for the Election of
Superintendents of the Province of Otago, and
Members of the Provincial Council for the Dis-
trict of Dunedin, namely,

The School House, North, Dunedin.

WHEREAS by "New Zealand Loan
Act, 1863," authority is given for the
borrowing and raising of sums of money not
exceeding in the whole the sum of Β£3,000,000,
and it is provided that for the purpose of
creating a sinking fund for the liquidation of
the principal monies so raised there shall be
paid yearly out of the ordinary revenue of the
Colony to such persons as the Governor shall
appoint, such sum as shall be equal to one per
cent. per annum on the total of the said prin-
cipal from time to time borrowed, which sum
shall be set apart as a sinking fund and shall
be invested by such person or persons in such
manner as the Governor shall from time to
direct.

Now, therefore, I, SIR GEORGE GREY, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
pursuance and execntion of the said Act, do
hereby appoint

PENROSE GOODCHILD JULYAN and
WILLIAM CHARLES SARGEAUNT

to be the persons who shall receive the said
sΔ±nking fund as aforesaid, and the persons who
shall invest the same in manner set forth in the
said recited Act.
