PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage
Act, 1854," the following Names of OFFICIATING
MINISTERS within the meaning of the said Act are
published for general information:

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages, in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing NAMES OF OFFICIATING
MINISTERS within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 3, of the 31st of January; No. 12, of the
8th of April; No. 13, of the 25th of April; No. 18, of
the 31st of May; No. 22, of the 27th of June; No.
23, of the 11th of July; No. 27, of the 24th of July;
No. 36, of the 11th of September; No. 37, of the
22nd of September; No. 41, of the 16th of October;
No. 43, of the 6th of November; No. 45, of the 25th
of November; and No. 48, of the 11th of December,
in the present year.

twenty-second day of December, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

I, SAMUEL POPHAM KING, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Province of Taranaki,
in the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that
I have registered a Memorandum of Association,
with Articles of Association annexed, establishing a
Company, with limited liability of the shareholders
therein, intituled

"THE TARANAKI LIGHTER COMPANY (LIMITED)."

The objects of which are, "the loading and discharg-
ing of shipping at the Port of New Plymouth and
adjacent Settlements of the Province of Taranaki."
And that in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a
Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this fifth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-five.

Stock Companies for the Province of Taranaki,

"THE FREEMASONS' HALL COMPANY (LIMITED)."
The objects of which are "the erection of a Free-
mason's Hall in New Plymouth, and purchase of
land for the purpose." And that, in pursuance of
the provisions of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," I have issued a Certificate of Incorporation
of the said Company, bearing date this fifth day of
December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

To James Richard Davies, senior, of Dunedin,
in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of
New Zealand, contractor, his agents, auc-
tioneers, and servants.

GREETING:

WHEREAS James Richard Davies, the younger,
of Dunedin aforesaid, hath brought an action
against you the said James Richard Davies, the elder,
and one Thomas Connor, wherein he complains that
you, the said James Richard Davies, the elder, have
wrongfully covenanted to hand over certain negotiable
securities payable by the Provincial Government of
Southland, or by the General Government of the
Colony of New Zealand, and that you the said
James Richard Davies, the elder, have sold certain
plant, horses, and machinery without his consent,
and that you, the said James Richard Davies, the
elder, are endeavouring to dispose of, and transfer
the right and interest in, and to certain other deben-
tures or negotiable securities of the said Provincial
Government, and to sell certain other plant, horses,
and machinery, which said negotiable securities,
plant, horses, and machinery are the property of the
partnership in the declaration in this suit mentioned;
we therefore, do strictly enjoin and command you,
and all and every the persons before mentioned,
under pain of the further process of the Court
aforesaid, that you and every of you do absolutely
desist from interfering with the property of the
partnership in the aforesaid declaration mentioned,
and from alienating, assigning, pledging, mortgaging,
or in any wise disposing of, or attempting to dispose
of any of the aforesaid negotiable securities, plant,
horses, and machinery, or any or either of them, or
any part of them, until our said Court shall make
further order to the contrary.

Esquire, Judge of our Supreme Court of
New Zealand, this first day of December,
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-five.

Melbourne Botanic Gardens,
16th November, 1865.

TENDERS will be received by the Director of the
Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, for twenty-five
New Zealand Ponga Tree Ferns (Cyathea Dealbata),
and for twenty-five New Zealand Korau or Mamaku
Tree Ferns (Cyathea Medullaris), to be delivered in
a fresh and healthy state in Melbourne; the stems
to be from six feet to eight feet high, the plants to
be carefully lifted with their roots, and to be packed
after the removal of the fronds, in matting, and to
be shipped immediately from the forest. Cost of
freight to Melbourne to be included in the tender.
