THE following Rules are published for general
information :—
The Rules relative to Pay and Allowances to
Militia and Volunteers, dated 29th July, 1863, are
hereby cancelled, and the following are substituted
in lieu thereof:—
"Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and Privates,
of the New Zealand Militia (not on actual service)
when called out for enrolment, or for inspection of
arms, or for training, and not obliged to leave their
homes to be encamped, or when on actual service
and in possession of arms, when required to parade

RETURN of the QUANTITY and VALUE of GOLD Exported from New Zealand, from the
1st April, 1857, to the 30th September, 1865.

periodically for inspection of arms, -will not receive
any pay."
The rates of pay when on actual Service in the
field or doing garrison duty will be published on a
future occasion.

General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in the
eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen
Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act, 1854,"
the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published
for general information :

I, JOHN BOYLE BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing NAMES of Officiating
MINISTERS, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 3, of the 31st of January; No. 12, of
the 8th of April; No. 13, of the 25th of April; No.
18, of the 31st of May; No. 22, of the 27th of June;
No. 23, of the 11th of July; No. 27, of the 24th of
July; No. 36, of the 11th of September; No. 37, of*
the 22nd of September; No. 41, of the 16th of
October; No. 43, of the 6th of November; and No.
45, of the 25th of November, in the present year.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this
twenty-ninth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

Colonial Prizes will be chosen as follows." *
Instead of " will fire three shots at each range,"
