of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME
GREETING:-
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly,
intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor by warrant under his hand, from time to
time, to appoint polling places for each electoral
district within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the principal
polling place for the district, and all or any of such
polling places at any time to abolish, and to appoint
other polling places in lieu thereof. And whereas
by another Act of the General Assembly, intituled
"The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted
that, subject to certain provisions therein contained,
every election of the Superintendent or of a Member
of the Provincial Council of a Province shall be
conducted in the manner prescribed by "The Regu-
lation of Elections Act, 1858," aforesaid, and all the
provisions of the said last-mentioned Act shall apply
to the elections of Superintendents and Members of
Provincial Councils:
Now know ye, that I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Acts,
do hereby appoint the following places to be polling
places for the districts hereinafter mentioned for the
election of Members of the Provincial Council of the
Province of Otago, namely:-
QUEENSTOWN DISTRICT-Court House, Maori Point.
LAWRENCE DISTRICT-Court House, Mount Benger.
CLYDE DISTRICT-Court House, Dunstan Creek.
And I do further appoint the following polling
places to be the principal polling places of such
districts respectively, viz.:-
LAWRENCE DISTRICT-Court House, Lawrence.
CLYDE DISTRICT-Court House, Clyde.
QUEENSTOWN DISTRICT-Court House, Queenstown.
Given under my hand, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this nineteenth
day of September, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-five.

others in lieu thereof.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight
Commander of the Most Honorable Order
of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:-
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor by warrant under his hand, from time
to time, to appoint polling places for each electoral
district, within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the principal polling
place for the district, and all or any of such polling
places at any time to abolish and to appoint other

Governor, certain places were appointed polling
places for the Province of Nelson, for the election
of Superintendent and Members of the Provincial
Council thereof.
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same :
Now know ye, that I, Sir George Grey, the Gover-
or of the Colony, in pursuance of the power and
authority in me vested by the said Act, do hereby
abolish the said polling places for the Province of
Nelson, for the election of Superintendent and Mem-
bers of the Provincial Council, and do appoint in lieu
thereof-
CITY OF NELSON DISTRICT-Provincial Hall; Odd
Fellows' Hall.
SUBURBAN NORTH DISTRICT-School Room.
WAIMEA EAST DISTRICT-School Room, Richmond;
do., Suburban South.
WAIMEA SOUTH DISTRICT-School Room, Spring
Grove; do., Upper Wakefield; Library, Motu-
eka Valley.
WAIMEA WEST DISTRICT-Southern School Room.
MOUTERE-School Room, Upper Moutere; do.,
Lower Moutere.
MOUTEKA-The Institute; School Room, Riwaka.
TAKAKA-School House, Clifton; Mr. George
Taylor's, Takaka.
COLLINGWOOD-The Court House.
AMURI-Mr. Duppa's Wool Shed.
And I do further appoint the polling places herein-
after specified to be the principal polling places for
such districts respectively, namely:---
CITY OF NELSON-Provincial Hall.
SUBURBAN NORTH-School Room.
WAIMEA EAST DISTRICT-School Room, Richmond.
WAIMEA SOUTH DISTRICT-School Room, Spring
Grove.
WAIMEA WEST DISTRICT-Southern School Room.
MOUTERE-School Room, Upper Moutere.
MOTUEKA- The Institute.
TAKAKA-School House, Clifton.
COLLINGWOOD - The Court House.
AMURI-Mr. Duppa's Wool Shed.
And I do also further appoint the following polling
place to be the principal polling place for the said
Province of Nelson, for the election of Superinten-
dent, viz. :-
Provincial Hall, Nelson.
