ORDER IN COUNCIL,
Appointing a Circuit Court to be held at New
Plymouth.
G. GREY, Governor.
At the Government House, at Wellington, on the
twenty-seventh day of July, 1865.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Supreme Court
Act, 1860," it is provided that there shall be held
Circuit Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal
business of the Court before one of the Judges
thereof, at such places and times as the Governor in
Council may from time to time appoint:
Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
New Zealand, doth hereby fix and appoint that a
Circuit Court shall be held at New Plymouth, in the
Province of Taranaki, in the Northern District of the
said Colony, on Saturday, the twelfth day of August,
One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, or as
soon after as may be convenient, for the despatch of
civil and criminal business of the Court before the
Judge thereof to whom the said district has been
assigned.

Warrant Abolishing a Polling Place.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight
Commander of the Most Honorable Order
of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:-
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by Warrant under his hand, from time
to time, to appoint polling places for each electoral
district, within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the principal
polling place for the district, and all or any of such
polling places at any time to abolish and to appoint
other poling places in lieu thereof;
And whereas by Warrant under the hand of the
Governor, bearing date the twenty-eighth day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
four, the House of
MR. GEORGE GUNN,
Run No. 119 A, in the Province of Southland, was
appointed a polling place for the district of Oreti, for
the election of Members for the Provincial Council of
the Province of Southland; and whereas it is expe-
dient to abolish the same :
Now know ye, that I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act,
do hereby abolish the abovenamed polling place for
the district of Oreti, for the election of Members of
the Provincial Council of the said Province.
Given under my hand, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this eleventh day
of July, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
