ORDER IN COUNCIL

Delegating certain powers in respect of Native

A. R. C. Strode, Esq.

G. GREY,
Governor.

At the Government House at Auckland,
the sixth day of January, 1865.

Present—

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Native Reserves

the Governor may by Order in Council from
time to time delegate all or any of the powers
competent to the Commissioners appointed
under "The New Zealand Native Reserves Act
1856" unto any person or persons for any period
and subject to such regulations and restrictions
or stipulations as may be specified in such
Order, and every such delegation may from time
to time in like manner be altered or revoked.
Now therefore His Excellency the Governor by
and with the advice and consent of the Execu-

unto Alfred Rowland Chetham Strode, of Dune-
din, in the Province of Otago, Esquire, all of
the powers competent to be exercised by Com-

the Native Reserves set apart within the Towns
of Dunedin and Port Chalmers in the said
Province, subject to such regulations, restrictions
or stipulations, as His Excellency the Gover-

issue in that behalf.

FORSTER GORING,

His Excellency SIR GEORGE GREY,
Knight Commander of the Most
Honorable Order of the Bath
Governor and Commander-in-Chief

same, &c., &c., &c.

TO WILLIAM CRUSH DALDY, ALFRED DOMETT,
JOHN ANDERSON GILFILLAN, ROBERT GRA-
HAM, WILLIAM SWAINSON, FREDERICK
WHITAKER,
And to such other persons as shall be hereafter
from time to time appointed to assist in the
execution of the commission herein referred
to.

*WHEREAS by a commission signed by me
Colony of New Zealand, on the 29th day of
February, 1864, I did constitute and appoint
you, William Crush Daldy, Alfred Domett,
John Anderson Gilfillan, Robert Graham, Wil-

Commissioners to select and determine sites, to
obtain and sanction plans, and to take all such

And Whereas it is expedient for divers public
reasons to except out of that commission the
following public building, that is to say, a
Government House in the Domain at Auckland.
Now, therefore, I do hereby except out of
that commission the aforesaid Government
House in the Domain at Auckland, and do de-
clare the said Commission for all other pur-
