ORDER IN COUNCIL,
Revoking certain Orders in Council respecting
the Native District of Whanganui..

At the Government House, at Auckland, on
the third day of February, 1864.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by certain Acts of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
respectively "The Native Circuit Courts
Act, 1858," and "The Native Districts
Regulation Act, 1858," it is provided that it
shall be lawful for the Governor in Council
from time to time to appoint Districts for
the purposes of the said Acts, being Districts
over which the Native Title shall not for the
time being have been extinguished, and any
such appointment to vary and revoke:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Gover-
nor, by and with the advice and consent of
his Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the
Orders in Council bearing date respectively
twenty-third January, 1863, appointing the
"District of Whanganui," for the purposes
of the said Acts respectively: And doth
declare that this Order shall take effect from
and after the third day of January, 1864.

the source of the Tutaekuri river, thence to
the source of the Turakina river, thence
along that river to the Southern boundary
of the Turakina District, thence along that
boundary to Rotokari, thence along the
West Coast to the mouth of the Patea river :
Excepting all lands over which the Native
Title has been extinguished within the
meaning of the said Act.
And doth appoint and declare that the
said District shall be called the Native
District of Whanganui.
And doth declare that this Order shall
take effect from and after the third day of
February, 1864.

Reconstituting District of Whanganui under
"The Native Circuit Courts Act, 1858."

W HEREAS by an Act of the General

commencing at the mouth of the Patea river,
thence along the boundaries of the Provinces
of Taranaki, Auckland, and Hawke's Bay to
the source of the Tutaekuri river, thence to
the source of the Turakina river, thence
along that river to the southern boundary of
the Turakina District, thence along that
boundary to Rotokari, thence along the west
coast to the mouth of the Patea river; ex-
cepting all lands over which the Native Title
has been extinguished, within the meaning of
the said Act:
And doth appoint and declare that the said
district shall be called the Native District of
Whanganui:
And doth declare that this Order shall
