- In promoting Emigration from other
places for the purpose of securing the efficient
colonization of the said Settlement. Provided
always that no such grant shall issue unless
the applicant shall have selected his land
within twelve months after he is entitled to
make his selection, and shall apply for such
grant within twelve months after he is en-
titled thereto.

Appointing Molyneux a Warehousing Port.

Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
IN exercise of the power in me for this
purpose vested by the "Customs Regu-
lations Act, 1858," I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, Do
hereby appoint that the Port of Molyneux
shall be a Warehousing Port for the pur-
poses of the Customs Regulation Act, 1858,
and do hereby approve of the same as a Port
for the Importation of Tobacco.
GIVEN under my hand, at Govern-
ment House at Auckland, this
twenty-first day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty
four.

THE following Certificates and Declara-
tions are published in conformity with
the provisions of the "Execution of Criminals
Act, 1858."
FREDERICK WHITAKER.
WE do hereby testify and declare that we
have this day been present when the
extreme penalty of the law was carried into
execution on the body of Nikotema Okeroa,
convicted at the Criminal Session of the
Supreme Court, held at Auckland on the
twenty-ninth day of March last, and sen-
tenced to death, and that the said Nikotema
Okeroa was, in pursuance of the said sen-
tence, hanged by the neck until his body was
dead.
Dated this eighteenth day of April, in the
year 1864, at the Gaol, Mount Eden.

I, THOMAS MOORE PHILSON, Doc-
tor of Medicine, the Medical Officer in
attendance at the execution of Nikotema
Okeroa, at the Gaol, Mount Eden: do
hereby certify and declare, that I have this
day witnessed the execution of the said
Nikotema Okeroa, at the said gaol; and I
do further certify and declare, that the said
Nikotema Okeroa was, in pursuance of the
sentence of the Supreme Court, hanged by
neck until his body was dead.
Given under my hand this eighteenth day
of April, in the year 1864, at the Gaol,
Mount Eden.

WE do hereby testify and declare, that
