THE General Government having frequent
occasion to request the Provincial Go-
vernments to insert in Provincial Gazettes
Notices which appear in the New Zealand
Gazette, the practice will for the future be
adopted of adding to those Notices, the in-
sertion of which in the Provincial Gazettes
is desired, the words "Provincial Gazettes,"
and the General Gouernment will be obliged
if the various Provincial Governments will,
when such words are added, insert such
notices accordingly, without special request
by circular as heretofore.

land whereof the boundaries are re mentioned
or described in the Schedule hereunto an-
nexed.

Maruarua Block, estimated to contain 800
Acres.

BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at a Point on the Ohopu
Creek in the Papakauri Swamp, and follow-
ing thence along the boundary line of the
Mirowhakatiki Block, bearing 18° 51" 9670
links, 1° 0′ 10,002 links to Ngatoha, thence
along a survey line bearing 277° 50′ 4808
links to the Bay of Islands road, thence
along that road to a line bearing 196° 15′
thence along the said line 2256 links to the
Maruarua Creek, thence down the Maruarua
Creek to a line bearing 161° 50′, thence
along the said line 2870 links to the point
of commencement.

pleased to appoint
MR. WILLIAM DIXON BUDDLE,
Sub-Collector of Customs at Timaru, to be a
Licensing Officer under the provisions of the
"Arms Act 1860," vice Mr. W. R. Carver,
resigned. This appointment dates from the
1st October, 1863.
