PROVINCE OF HAWKE'S BAY.

POURERERE BLOCK.
AREA, 378A. 3R. OP.
Bounded towards the North by land granted
to J. H. Northwood, and by the Pourerere
Stream; towards the East by the Pourerere
Stream and by the sea; towards the South by
a Government Reserve, by land belonging to
J. H. Northwood, and by Crown Land, being
part of the Hapuku Block.
Excepting a portion of land reserved by
the Natives, containing about 70 acres, the
boundaries of which are as follows:-
Commencing at the junction of the Ikanui
and Wharepukakahu Streams, and following
the latter stream upwards about 20 chains;
thence along the survey lines bearing 280°
6200 links, 127° 45′ 2100 links, 110° 45'
3560 links; thence up the Ikanui Stream
about 8 chains to a survey line bearing 74°
10' 1100 links, and following that line to the
Ikanui Stream; and thence along the Ikanui
Stream to the point of commencement.
Excepting also a portion of a Government
Reserve at Tuingara.

His Excellency the Governor, the follow-
ing appointments have been made in the ser-
vice of the colony :-

master at Whitianga, from the 1st of July,
1863.

ville, from 1st July, 1863.
Samuel Johnston to be Postmaster at Port
Albert, from the 1st July, 1863.
Henry Sankey to be Postmaster at Mauku,
from the 1st July, 1863.
Albert J. Allom to be Postmaster at Port
Fitzroy, from the 1st July, 1863.
Charles Hook to be Postmaster at Paparoa,
from the 1st July, 1863.
John Close to be Postmaster at Te Arei,
from the 1st July, 1863.

William Henry Sherwood Roberts to be
Postmaster at Pomahaka, from the 16th May,
1863.
Edward Riley, to be Postmaster at Frank-
town, from the 5th May, 1863.
Marcus Brown Power to be Postmaster at
Waiwera, from the 11th June, 1863.
John Craig to be Postmaster at Goodwood,
from the 1st June, 1863.
Thomas Shalders to be Postmaster at Rocky
Point, from the 11th June, 1863.
John Hetherington to be Postmaster at Ka-
warau Junction, from the 11th June, 1863.
Thomas Pringle to be Postmaster at Card-
rona, from the 11th June, 1863.
Dennis McKenna to be Postmaster fat St-
Johnstown, from the 4th June, 1863.
Sydney Johnston Dick to be Postmaster at
Queenstown, from the 21st June, 1863.
James Henry Birch McKean to be Postmas-
ter at Arrow River, from the 21st June, 1863.

Auckland, August 4th, 1863.

I JOHN BOYLE BENNETT, Registrar
of Joint Stock Companies for the Pro-
vinces of Auckland and Hawke's Bay, in the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that
I have Registered a Memorandum of Associa-
tion, with Articles of Association, establishing
a Company, (with limited liability of the
shareholders therein) entitled,
"HAWKE'S BAY STEAM NAVIGATION
COMPANY (LIMITED.)"
the objects of which are "the conveyance of
"passengers and goods in a Steamship or
"Steamships or boats of a capacity and
"draught of water suited to the requirements
"of the Port of Napier, between such places
"as the Company may from time to time de-
"termine, and the doing all such other things
"as are incidental or conducive to the attain-
ment of the above objects" :-
And that in pursuance of the provisions of
"The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I
have issued a Certificate of Incorporation of
the said Company, bearing date this fourth day
of August, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-three.
