Hon. H. J. Tancred, M.L.C.

THE Hon. Henry John Tancred, M.L.C.,
having tendered the resignation of his seat
in the Executive Council, His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased this day to accept
the same.

Resignation of W. S. Moorhouse, Esq., as
Superintendent of Canterbury accepted.

THE Governor directs it to be notified for
general information that

WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Esq.
having resigned the office of Superintendent
of the Province of Canterbury, His Excel-
lency, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen,
has this day accepted that resignation.

THE following Bill passed by the Provin-
cial Council of the Province of Otago,
entitled

"Otago Representation Ordinance 1862,"
which Bill was reserved for the signification
of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having
been laid before the Governor, His Excellency
has been pleased to assent to the same.
