tried in any Resident Magistrate's Court
with respect to which this Act shall be in
operation when the debt or damages claimed
do not exceed Fifty pounds.

Now therefore I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the
said recited Act, and of an Order in Council
dated the seventeenth day of December one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, au-
thorising the issue of Proclamations under the
said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the provisions of the said recited Act, and
especially the powers conferred by sections
two and three thereof, shall be exercised to the
limit of jurisdiction of fifty pounds in the Re-
sident Magistrate's Court at Wairarapa,
in the Province of Wellington; and I do
further proclaim and declare that this procla-
mation shall take effect on and from the first
day of August, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-three.

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Defining a certain Reserve in the Province
of Auckland.

Governor.

At the Government House at Auckland, the
6th day of July, 1863.

Present:—

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, by the "Waste Lands Act,
1858," it is provided that it shall be
lawful for the Governor in Council at any
time and from time to time to except from
sale and reserve to Her Majesty, or dispose of
in such other manner as for the public interest
may seem best, such of the Waste Lands of
the. Crown in any of the Provinces of New
Zealand as may be required for the purposes of
Military Defence, or for the construction of
Trunk Lines of road, or as sites for Public
Buildings for the use of the General Govern-
ment, or for other purposes of public utility
or convenience: Now therefore, His Excel-
lency the Governor, with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of New
Zealand, doth hereby except from sale, and
reserve to the use of Her Majesty, the parcels
of land described in the Schedule hereto
annexed.

And His Excellency the Governor doth
hereby notify to the Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland that the land defined in
the Schedule hereto has been reserved in terms
of the Act before cited.

SCHEDULE.
All those allotments or parcels of land situate
in the Parish of Puni, in the County of Eden,
being the Allotments of the Town of Cameron
numbered as follows on the plan of the said
Town, viz., Allotments numbered One, Two,
Three, Four, Five, and Six, of Section num-
bered Two, containing two acres two roods
and one perch, be the same more or less; Al-
lotments numbered Five, Six, Seven, and
Eight, of section numbered Three, containing
one acre and sixteen perches, be the same
more or less; and Section numbered Eleven,
containing six acres one rood and one perch,
be the same more or less.

Also, all that parcel of land adjoining the
said Town, and containing three acres one
rood, and ten perches, be the same more or
less, bounded towards the North by a public
road or street, towards the East by the Waikato
and Mauku Tramway, towards the South by
the North Bank of the Waikato River, and
towards the West by the East bank of the
Mauku Stream.

Also, all that other parcel of ground situate
in the town of Cameron aforesaid, and being
the Allotments numbered as follows on the
plan of the said Town, viz., Allotments num-
bered Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Sixteen,
and Seventeen, of Section numbered four, con-
taining by admeasurement two acres and eight
perches, be the same more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL

To prohibit the wandering at large of
Cattle in the Taupari and Kohekohe
Hundred, Lower Waikato.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Native Districts Regulation Act, 1858,"
it is provided that it shall be lawful for the
the Governor in Council from time to time to
appoint Districts for the purposes of the said
Act, being Districts over which the Native
Title shall not for the time being have been
extinguished:

And by the same Act it is provided that it
shall be lawful for the Governor in Council,
from time to time to make and put in force
within any such District Regulations (among
other things) for the prevention of Cattle-
trespass and of the wandering of Cattle at
large, and for defining and prescribing the
rights, duties, and liabilities in relation to
