said recited power, do hereby call out for
training and exercise—

The First and Second Classes of the
Militia of the said Napier District:

And I order George Stoddart Whitmore,
Major, the Officer commanding the said Dis-
trict, to carry into effect this direction.

land, this fourth day of July,

WHEREAS by the "Militia Acts Amend-
ment Act, 1862," the Governor is em-
powered from time to time to call out the
whole or any part or number of any Regis-
ment, Battalion, Corps, or Company of Mili-
tia in any District he shall think fit. And it
appears to me expedient to call out for train-
ing and exercise part of the Militia of the
District of Wellington:

Now, therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor as aforesaid, in pursuance of the
said recited power, do hereby call out for train-
ing and exercise—

The First and Second Classes of the said
Militia of the said Wellington District.

And I order John Dwyer, Major, the Officer
commanding the said District, to carry into
effect this direction.

Given under my hand, at the Govern-
ment House, at Auckland, this
fourth day of July, in the year
of our Lord, One thousand
eight hundred and sixty-three.

Honorable Order of the Bath,
Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand, and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS by the" Militia Acts Amend-
Act, 1862" the Governor is em-

Officer commanding the said District, to carry
into effect this direction.

THOMAS FRASER,
EDWIN RICH,
WILLIAM ROBERT GILLING SAMUELS,
JOHN DEWE,
THOMAS WINDLE PARKER.
