Bernard McDonald, for six months, commen-
cing 1st May, 1863, at the following rate-

At per ton, cut and split to suit fire-

Major G. S. Whitmore appointed a Civil
Commissioner.

to be Civil Commissioner, Ahuriri, vice

Lieut.-Colonel Andrew Hamilton Russell,

Act, 1856."

Natives in the Province of Wellington to
their Reserves being brought under the opera-
