to the East end of the range of hills dividing
White's Bay from Robin Hood's Bay; thence
on the South by a right line to a point in the
Tua Marina Valley, five miles due North
from the mouth of Tua Marina river; thence
by a right line to a point in the Kaituna Valley,
seven miles from the Wairau River; thence up
a line to the summit of the range of hills
dividing the Pelorus and Wairau Rivers; thence
by a line along the said summit to Mount
Richmond; thence on the West and North-
west by a right line to the Red Hills; and
thence by the North-western boundary of the
Province of Marlborough to Tennyson's Inlet.

such specified time, a Natural-born subject
of Her Majesty within the Colony of New
Zealand, as fully to all intents and purposes as
if his name had been inserted in the Schedule
to that Act annexed. Provided always that
every such Proclamation shall contain the de-
scription, occupation or calling, of every person
therein named, and his place of residence at
the date of such Proclamation:

Wairau District.
Bounded by the Southern boundary of
Picton District from the range of hills dividing
White's Bay from Robin Hood's Bay to
Mount Richmond; thence by a line running
Northerly to the Red Hills; thence by the
Eastern boundary of the Nelson District to
the Wairau Gorge; thence to the summit of
the watershed between the Gorge and Bare-
fell's Pass; thence to the summit of Mount
Stafford; thence along the watershed to
Mount Wells; thence along the watershed to
the White Bluff; thence by the sea coast to
the said range of hills dividing White's Bay
from Robin Hood's Bay.

Now, therefore, I, the Governor of New
Zealand, in pursuance of the power and
authority in me vested by the said Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the person
hereinafter mentioned, shall come within the
operation of the said Act from the date
hereinafter specified, viz. :-

And I do declare that this Proclamation
shall come into operation and take effect on
the First day of April, One thousand eight
hundred and sixty-two.

PROCLAMATION.

"Execution of Criminals Act, 1858," to come
into operation in the I'rovince of Auckland.

jesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice
Admiral of the same, &c., &c.

WHEREAS by "The Naturalization
Act, 1861," it is enacted that every
person who shall be declared to come within
the operation of that Act by any Proclamation
to be issued in that behalf by His Excellency
the Governor, shall, as from the time in such
Proclamation specified, be deemed and taken
until the termination of the next Session of the
General Assembly, to be, and to have been from

WHEREAS by the "Execution of
Criminals Act, 1858," it is enacted
that the said Act shall come into operation in
such part of the Colony of New Zealand as
the Governor shall, by Proclamation from time
to time, appoint to be Districts for that pur-
pose:

Now, I, Sir George Grey, Governor of the
said Colony, in pursuance and exercise of the said
power, do hereby appoint and proclaim the
Province of Auckland to be a District within
which the said Act shall, from the date hereof,
come into operation.
