Mr. JAMES HAMLIN GREENWAY,
has been appointed Clerk to the Resident
Magistrate's Court at Russell, Bay of Islands,
and that the appointment dates from 3rd May,
1862.

T is hereby notified that the Native Title
has been extinguished over the blocks of
land whereof the boundaries are mentioned or
described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

DISTRICT OF KAIPARA.

MATAWHERO BLOCK
CONTAINING 5480 ACRES.

BOUNDARIES.

Commencing at Kawakawa, and Te Papa,
and thence on to Tamakoriata on the survey
lines bearing 262° 30' 2600 links, 270° 40'
5100 links, 271° 30' 2590 links, 269° 10'
12030 links, and thence on to Te Kanohi,
continuing thence along the surveyed line until
it reaches one end of the Komakoriki, 270°
30' 4212 links, 272° 0' 3908 links, and thence
along the survey line to Te Kuru, 255° 0'
11115 links, 266° 30' 2995 links, 250° 0'
700 links, where it joins Waitoki and Parika-
kau; it then goes along the water or stream of
Waitoki to the surveyed line bearing 80° 36'
2027 links, 176° 40' 35500 links, 79° 20'
10800 links, 74° 40' 6688 links, where it
reaches the Kaipara river, and thence on to
Matawhero, Te Karae, and following round
until it reaches Te Kawakawa, the point of
commencement. There are 24 acres at Te
Karae which have been given over to the
Government.

DISTRICT OF BAY OF ISLANDS.

MANGATETE BLOCK,
CONTAINING 5649 ACRES.

BOUNDARIES.

Commencing at a point on the Otukai river
at the Native Reserve, following the Native
Reserve and the Mangatete river, from thence
along the survey line to the Matakou Pa. from
thence along the survey line to the Ohinu
river, from thence along the creek and survey
line to the Kaitaia river at a point known as
the Haukotuku creek, thence along the Kaitaia
river and Native Reserve to the junction of the
Pikorako creek, thence along the survey line
to Omatiti, thence along the survey line to Te
Arikitu, thence along the survey line to the

Otukai river to the point where it commenced'

MAUNGATANIWHA BLOCK,
CONTAINING 8469 ACRES.

BOUNDARIES.

Commencing at a hill called Mangonui, from
thence to the junction of the Otongahiti and
Wainui rivers, thence along the Wainui river
to a place called Whakatakere, thence along
the survey line to a hill called Whakahara,
thence along the survey line to a hill called
Pukewharariki, then following the lines of the
Native Reserve and survey line to the Tawa-
puku creek, thence along that creek and survey
line to the starting point at Mangonui.

TENDERS FOR FOOD.

Native Office,
Auckland, 18th December, 1862.

TENDERS will be received at the Native
Office until noon of Wednesday, the
31st instant, for the supply of the under-
mentioned articles, in quantities as they may be
required from time to time by the General
Government, for the year ending 31st Decem-
ber, 1863.

Biscuit, @ per Ib. (sample to be deposited).
Bread, @ 2-lb. loaf.
Rice, @ per Ib. (sample to be deposited).
Sugar, @ per Ib. (sample to be deposited).
Tea, @ per Ib. (sample to be deposited).
Pork (Fresh), @ per fb.
Pork (Salt), @ per fb.
Beef (Fresh), @ per fb.
Beef (Salt), @ per Ib.
Potatoes, @ per 100 lbs.

The above goods to be of good marketable
quality of their respective kinds, and according
to sample, where samples have been deposited.
It is the wish of the Government, for the
sake of convenience, to contract with one
person for the supply of all the articles enume-
rated above.
Tenders to be sealed and endorsed "Tenders
for provisions."
Further particulars to be obtained on appli-
cation at the Native Office.

TENDERS FOR PRINTING.

Native Office,
Auckland, 13th December, 1862.

TENDERS will be received at the Native
Office until noon of Wednesday, the
31st instant, from persons desirous to contract
for the
Printing of the "Maori Messenger"
for the twelve months ending 31st December,
1863.
Security will be required for the due per-
formance of the contract, and the tender should
be accompanied by a notification of the consent
of two parties who may be proposed as sureties.
Further particulars may be obtained on
application at the Native Office.
