THE following Schedule of proposed
charges for the storage of Powder in
the Magazine at the Port of Dunedin, is
published for general information

PROVINCE OF OTAGO.

SCHEDULE of charges to be paid on
packages of Gunpowder deposited in the
Powder Magazine at Dunedin.

For each and every barrel or
package containing 50lbs. of
Gunpowder and upwards, for
any period not exceeding four
weeks ... ... ... 1 0 s. d.
Ditto, ditto, above four weeks,
per week ... ... ... 0 2
For each and every barrel or
package containing less then
50lbs., for any period not ex-
ceeding four weeks ... 0 6
Ditto, ditto, above four weeks,
per week ... ... ... 0 1
The expenses of conveying the keeper of
the Magazine to and from Dunedin in all
cases to be borne by the parties who store
the Powder.

NEW ZEALAND MAIL STEAM
SERVICES.

TENDERS are required by the Govern-
ment of New Zealand for the per-
formance of the undermentioned services.

  1. A Steamer to leave Melbourne each
    month within 24 hours after the arrival
    of the European Mail contract boat, for
    Port Chalmers, Otago, calling at the
    Bluff: and thence calling at Lyttelton,
    Wellington, Picton and Nelson, to Syd-
    ney. To wait in Melbourne for the mail
    if detained for not more than four days
    after the due date. To remain in Port
    Chalmers three days; in Wellington, Lyt-
    telton, and Nelson, two days each; and in
    Picton one day.
  2. A steamer to leave Sydney on or
    about the 1st of each month for Nelson,
