Warrant altering times for holding District
Courts at Lower Hutt and Greytown

the Most Honourable Order
of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and
over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its De-
pendencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by the District Courts Act
1858, it is provided that there shall
be, within the Colony, Courts of Record
possessing Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction,
to be called District Courts: and the Gover-
nor is empowered from time to time by
notification in the New Zealand Gazette, to
fix the times and places within the District
at which every such Court shall be held, and
in like manner such times and places to
alter or abolish as he shall think fit.
Now therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor of the Colony, do hereby in pur-
suance and exercise of the said power and
authority, fix that Sessions of the District
Court of the Hutt shall be held as follows,
viz:—
At the LOWER HUTT on the Third Monday
of September and of every alternate month
thereafter.
At GREYTOWN on the Tuesday next after
the day appointed for the Sitting of the
Court at the Lower Hutt.

eight hundred and sixty-two.

cies and Vice-Admiral of the
same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, inti-
tuled, "The Waste Lands Act, 1858,"
it is enacted that subject to the several
Acts, Ordinances, Regulations and Bills
specified in the Schedule to the said Act,
and in cases where no provision shall have
been made in such behalf, it shall be law-
ful for the Governor in Council in the
name and on behalf of Her Majesty to
constitute such Offices and Boards, and
appoint such Officers as may be neces-
sary for the management and administra-
tion of the Waste Lands of the Crown,
and for the survey thereof within the
several Provinces of the Colony, and from
time to time to make such changes and
alterations and remove such Officers as
he may think fit: And it is further pro-
vided by the said Act that it shall be
lawful for the Governor, under his hand
and the Public Seal of the Colony from
time to time to delegate to the Superin-
tendent of any Province, or to such other
person as the Governor may think fit
(amongst other powers and authorities),
the before recited power and authority,
subject or not to any limitations or re-
strictions as he may think fit, and in like
manner to revoke such powers.
Now therefore, I, Sir George Grey,
