THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
The Superintendent shall report without
delay to the Governor all such acts and appoint-
ments.
The Superintendent shall lay before the
Provincial Council of the said Province every
such act and appointment at the Session of the
said Council next following.
The Provincial Council of the said Province
may through their Speaker transmit to the
Governor any Resolution respecting any such
act or appointment.
Regulations Secondly before referred to.
The Practice, Procedure, and Fees of the
said Wardens' Courts and in cases of appeal
from such Courts shall be as nearly as may
be the same as the Practice, Procedure, and
Fees, in the Resident Magistrate's Courts, in
the Colony of New Zealand, and in cases of
appeals from such Courts.

WARRANT
Appointing Auditor of Public Accounts
of the Province of Otago.
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE
GREY, Knight, Commander of
the Most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Ma-
jesty's Colony of New Zealand and
its Depen-dencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c.,
&c.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the "Pro-
vincial Audit Act, 1861," that the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of
any Province in New Zealand within one
month after the commencement of the Session
of such Council which shall ensue next after
the passing of the said Act shall concur in
the nomination of some fit and proper person
to be Auditor of the Public Accounts:
Provided that in default of such appoint-
ment within the time aforesaid, the Governor
shall nominate a fit and proper person for
such office, and the person so nominated by
the Governor for such office shall thereupon
be appointed to the same by Warrant under
the hand of the Speaker of such Council.
And whereas the Superintendent and Pro-
vincial Council of the Province of Otago
did not concur in the nomination of such per-
son to be such Officer as aforesaid within the
time before mentioned:
Now therefore I, George Grey, the Governor
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the said power and authority, do hereby
nominate
CHARLES HENRY KETTLE, Esquire,
of Dunedin, to be the Auditor of the
Public Accounts of the said Province
of Otago.

vernment House, at Auckland,
this seventh day of January,
in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and
sixty-two.
