No. 8. "Cattle Branding Amendment Act,
1861;"
having been laid before the Governor, His
Excellency has been pleased to leave the same
to their operation.

THE following Bills passed by the Provin-
cial Council of the Province of Nelson
intituled:-
No. 9. An Act to authorise the Superinten-
dent to convey to Her Majesty certain
Land granted for public purposes in the
City of Nelson;
No. 10. An Act to amend an Ordinance to
increase the number of members of the
Provincial Council, and to alter the
Electoral Districts of the Province of
Nelson;
No. 11. An Act to authorise the Superin-
tendent to guarantee certain interest upon
the capital to be expended in constructing
a Dry Dock or Patent Slip at the port of
Nelson;
which Bills were reserved for the signification
of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been
laid before the Governor, His Excellency has
been pleased to assent to the same.

Bay, intituled,-
"An Act to enable the Superintendent to
"manage and administer certain Reserves
"by granting Leases thereof."
"An Act to enlarge the Provincial Council
"and to alter the Electoral Districts of
"the Province of Hawke's Bay."
"An Act to enable the Superintendent of
"the Province of Hawke's Bay to
"manage and administer, by sale or
"lease, certain Public Reserves."
"An Act to appropriate the Revenue of
"the Province of Hawke's Bay, for the
"year commencing 1st day of January,
"1861, and ending the 31st day of De-
"cember, 1861;"
which Bills were reserved for the signification
of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having
been laid before the Governor, His Excel-
lency has been pleased to assent to the same.
