NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to
a resolution of the Provincial Council of
Hawke's Bay, it is intended to apply for an
Act of the General Assembly, at its ensuing
session, to enable the Superintendent of the
Province of Hawke's Bay, with the view of
removing a public nuisance, to purchase certain
lands in the town of Napier (and which lands
are specified in the Schedule to this Notice),
either with the consent of the proprietors of the
said lands or otherwise, and to empower the
said Superintendent to borrow money upon
Debentures to carry out the purposes before-
mentioned.
Notice is further given, that Plans and In-
dex Books, shewing the lands proposed to be
purchased, and the names and additions of the
owners thereof will be deposited at the follow-
ing places :-
At the office of the Superintendent of the
said Province of Hawke's Bay.
And at the office of the Commissioner of
Crown Lands.
Dated at Napier this 17th dayof May, 1861.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance, No. 15,
Session 11, of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide
claims to land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand
Company, do hereby Report that the claims of the undermentioned persons have been duly
referred to me for investigation, and I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively
entitled to the Crown Grants set against their names in the annexed Schedule.
