Auckland, 7th June, 1861.

OFFICIAL Information having been received of the Death of HER
ROYAL HIGHNESS THE DUCHESS OF KENT, His Excellency the Gover-
nor invites the Civil Officers of the Government, and all others Her
Majesty's Subjects in Auckland, to put themselves in decent
mourning on Sunday, the 9th instant, as a tribute of respect for
the memory of the illustrious deceased.

  1. As a further mark of respect the Union Flags at Fort Britomart,
    will be hoisted half-mast high, from 8 a.m., on the same day.
