Order in Council Regulating the Rates of
Pay to be received by the Auckland Militia
when on service.

AT THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE AT AUCKLAND,
ON THE 1ST DAY OF MARCH, 1860.
Present:—
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

HIS Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of New Zealand, doth hereby fix the
following rates of pay to be received from and
after the first day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-one, by the non-com-
missioned officers and men of the Militia and

Volunteers within the Auckland Militia Dis-
trict, when on actual service, namely:---
When on service in the field:---
Sergeants...3s. 6d. per diem } with rations.
Corporals...3s. "
Privates.....2s. 6d. "

When on service in Garrison or Quarters:---
Sergeants, 3s. 6d. per diem } without rations.
Corporals, 3s. "
Privates, 2s. 6d. "

When on special service, as night or day
patrols, &c., &c., special rates according to
circumstances.

John McRobert, deceased.
