PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion
of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS the General Assembly of New Zealand now stands
prorogued sine die, Now, therefore, I, the Governor, in pursuance
of the authority in me vested in that behalf, do hereby Announce and
Proclaim that the said General Assembly shall assemble for the Despatch
of Business on Thursday the Third day of May next, at two o'clock, P.M.,
in the General Assembly House, at Wellington, and the Members of the
Legislative Council and House of Representatives, respectively, are hereby
required to give their attendance at the said time and place accordingly.

Given under my Hand and issued under the Public Seal of the
Colony of New Zealand, at Government House, at Auck-
land, this Twenty-fifth day of January, in the year of our
Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty.
