THE name of HENRY CHARLES HERTSLET,
of Moeraki, in the Province of Otago,
has, at his own request, been omitted from the
new Commission of the Peace for the Colony
of New Zealand.

Commissioner's Order, No. 4.

WHEREAS a certain Building situate on
Norwich Quay, in the Town of Lyt-
telton, was some time since appointed as a
Warehouse for the reception and security of
Goods, entered to be warehoused without pay-
ment of duty upon the first entry thereof:
Now, in exercise of the authority in me for this
purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Customs,
do by this Order under my hand revoke and
annul, as from the day of the date hereof, the
appointment of the said Building as such
Warehouse as aforesaid.

Given under my hand, at Auck-
land, this twenty-seventh day
of June, in the year of our Lord,
One thousand eight hundred
and sixty.

IN conformity with the 7th Clause of the
"Gold Field's Act, 1858," it is hereby
notified that it is intended to grant leases for
Gold Mining purposes of the Crown Lands,
specified in the following applications.

No. 12. Applicant-Joseph Gibbs, of Lon-
don, Civil Engineer.
Locality-Parapara.
Area-1280 acres.

In a rectangular block; commencing at the
N.W. angle of suburban Section 71, district of
Miluthorpe, extending thence S.E. along the
front of Sections 71, 70, 69, and 68,-8000
links, with a depth of 16,000 links.

No. 13. Applicants-Metallurgie Company,
London.
Locality-Parapara.
Area-743 acres.

In an irregular block; commencing with the
preceding at the N.W. angle of suburban Sec-
tion 71, district of Miluthorpe, thence following
the N.E. and N.W. sides of Section No. 192,
of Square 14, thence following the external
boundaries of Sections 96, 94, 95, 102, 101,
and 18, to the S.E. angle of the Section last
named, thence at an angle 50° 40' to a marked
point on the hill South of Appoo's Flat, 8800
links, thence at an angle 349° 40' across Ap-
poo's Flat to a marked point on the hill oppo-
site, 1400 links, thence at an angle 81° 45' to
a marked point 1500 links, thence at an angle
352° 30' to a point on the N.W. boundary of

the preceding block, 2950 links, thence N.E.
following the boundary last named to the point
of commencement, 11,500 links.

NEW ZEALAND.

In the Estates of MARY ANN CHAPPELL, of
Parnell, near Auckland, and CHARLES
LUPTON, of Auckland, Deceased, Intestates.

PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honoura-
ble Court, the Creditors of the above-
named Intestates are on or before the eighteenth
day of September next, to come in and prove
their Debts before Thomas Outhwaite, Esquire,
Registrar of the said Court, at his office in the
Court house, Queen-street, Auckland, or in de-
fault thereof they will be peremptorily excluded
from all benefit arising from the said Estates.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance
of the provisions of the Imprisonment
for Debt Ordinance, Session 3 No. 7, the
Court will sit at Auckland on Wednes-
day, the 18th day of July inst., for the
hearing of applications for relief and for the
despatch of all business arising under the
provisions of the above Ordinance.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages in New Zea-
land, do hereby certify that the foregoing
NAMES of OFFICIATING MINISTERS within the
meaning of "The Marriage Act, 1854," have
been sent in to me, in addition to the Names
in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 4, of the 26th of January,
No. 5, of the 7th of February, No. 7, of the
24th of February, No. 13 of the 23rd of
April, and No. 19 of the 9th June, in the pre-
sent year.
