Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
IN exercise of the power in me vested by the
"Custom's Regulation Act, 1858," I,
Thomas Gore Browne, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
following days in every year to be kept as Ho-
lidays at the Customs Houses of the several
Ports and Sub-Ports of New Zealand, as the
Anniversaries of the foundation of the Settle-
ments within which such Ports and Sub-Ports
respectively are situate (that is to say):-
At Auckland and its Sub-Ports, 29th Jan-
uary,
At New Plymouth, 31st March,
At Wellington and Wanganui, 22nd January,
At Napier, 1st November,
At Nelson, 1st February,
At Lyttelton and Akaroa, 16th December,
At Dunedin and Invercargill, 23rd March.
Provided that when any of the said days fall
on a Sunday, the following day may be kept as
a Holiday instead.
