Guard,"
WILLIAM HARRY HOBBS, to be Lieutenant.
Date of commission, 20th April, 1860.
WILLIAM CRUSH DALDY, to be Lieutenant.
Date of commission, 21st April, 1860.

IN pursuance of the authority in me vested
by the " Militia Act 1858," I, Thomas
Gore Browne, Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby make and ordain the fol-
lowing regulations respecting the formation,
training, and exercise of a Company of Volun-
teers enrolled in the District of Auckland,
under an Order in Council dated the twelfth
day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and fifty eight, named the "Auckland Volun-
teer Coast Guard."

  1. The Company shall consist of Two (2)
    Lieutenants, Five (5) Petty Officers, and Fifty
    five (55) men.
  2. The Arms shall consist of Five (5) great
    Guns for the Company, and a Rifle or Revolver
    Pistol with Accoutrements, and a Cutlas for
    each man.
  3. The day and hours for training and ex-
    ercise may be fixed from time to time by the
    Senior Lieutenant of the Company, subject to
    the approval of the Governor.
  4. The Company will be trained and exer-
    cised for the present by instructors from one
    of Her Majesty's Ships of War, and afterwards
    by their own Officers.

ment House, at Auckland,
this twenty-first day of April,
one thousand eight hundred
and sixty.

IN order to give additional publicity to the
orders to be from time to time issued by
the several Officers commanding in the Militia
and Volunteers, arrangements have been made
with the Printers of the New Zealander and
Southern Cross, for the publication of such
orders in their Newspapers on Tuesdays, Wed-
nesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays,
