PROVINCE OF HAWKES' BAY.
Okawa Block.
Estimated Area 10,577 Acres.
Boundaries :
Commencing at the lake called Oreore, and
following the Eastern branch to the end; from
thence to a point on the shoulder of the hill
called Ngamahanga; which line bears by com-
pass 356Β° 30' from thence to a point at the
foot of a ridge of hills near the bank of the
Tutaekuri river, and thence to the Tutaekuri.
The boundary then follows the course of the
Tutaekuri upwards, to the mouth of a creek
which rises near the head of Mangatarata, and
up said creek to a point near its source; it
then strikes across to the Mangatarata, and
down that stream to its junction with the
Okawa river, and down the Okawa to the
Oreore lake.

THE following Notice respecting the exhi-
bition of a temporary Light at Colombo,
is published for general information.

OBSERVE.

CEYLON. THE COLOMBO LIGHT will be
under repairs from the 1st of February to the
1st of April 1860, during which time there will
be a temporary Light upon the Clock Tower,
upon which much dependence cannot be placed.
Ships approaching Colombo by night should
therefore be very cautious, and keep their Deep
Sea lead going. It is worthy of remark, that
if soundings off Ceylon be got between Thirty
and Forty fathoms, the Ship is within Five or
Six leagues of the land, and had better not
near till daylight.

TENDERS FOR DITCHING.

TENDERS will be received at this office
until noon of Wednesday, the 11th inst.,
from persons willing to dig a Trench 18 inches
wide and 18 inches deep, at per rod, round a
portion of the fence in the Government Do-
main.
Further particulars can be obtained on appli-
cation at this office.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW
ZEALAND.

In the Estate of PETER DALZIELL, of
Auckland, deceased intestate; and DANIEL
MASON, deceased intestate.

PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honorable
Court, the Creditors of the above-named
Intestates are, on or before the twenty-second
day of March next, to come in and prove their
debts before Thomas Outhwaite, Esquire,
Registrar of the said Court, at his office in
the Court House, Queen-street, Auckland, or
in default thereof, they will be peremptorily
excluded from all benefit arising from the said
estates.

NOTICE is hereby given, that in pur-
suance of the provisions of the "Im-
prisonment for Debt Ordinance," Session 3,
No. 7, the Court will sit at Auckland on Mon-
day, the ninth day of January next, for the
hearing of applications for relief, and for the
despatch of all business arising under the pro-
visions of the above Ordinance.
