PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS
GORE BROWNE, Companion of the
most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand, and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General As-
sembly of New Zealand, intituled " The
Naturalization Act, 1858," it is enacted that
every person who shall be declared to come
within the operation of this Act by any
Proclamation to be issued in that behalf by His
Excellency the Governor, shall, as from the
time in such Proclamation specified, be
deemed and taken, until the termination of the
next Session of the General Assembly, to be and
to have been, from such specified time, a natural-
born subject of Her Majesty within the Colony
of New Zealand, as fully to all intents and
purposes as if his name had been inserted in
the Schedule hereunto annexed. Provided
always, that every such Proclamation shall
contain the description, occupation, or call-
ing of every person therein named, and his
place of residence at the date of such Pro-
clamation.
Now, therefore, d, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and
authority in me vested by the said Act, do here-
by proclaim and declare that the person herein-
after mentioned, shall come within the opera-
tion of the said Act, from the date herein-
after specified, viz.:

of Hawke's Bay.

the following notice relating to the Lighthouse
at Warrnambool, Victoria, in consequence of a
clerical error in the notice published in Gazette
No. 31 of the 6th October 1859, fol. 227.

WARNAMBOOL HARBOR LIGHT.
The lighthouse at Warrnambool is situated
on Middle Island; its approximate position is
on
The light is a fixed white light elevated se-
venty-eight (78) feet above the mean level of
the sea, and may be seen in clear weather at
the distance of about thirteen (13) nautic miles
allowing ten (10) feet for the height of the
eye, and at lesser distances according to the
state of the atmosphere.
The light will be visible to seaward from all
points of the compass.
Caution.—Vessels from the westward should
not bring the light to bear to the southward
of E. S., nor to the westward of N. W. by
W. W. if from the eastward.
No stranger should attempt to enter this
harbor at night, nor should the light be ap-
proached within one (1) mile.
