WEDNESDAY, JULY 13, 1859.
WHEREAS, by the "District Courts
Act, 1858," it is provided that there
shall be, within the Colony, Courts of Record,
possessing Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction, to
be called District Courts, and the Governor is
empowered from time to time, by notification
in the New Zealand Gazette to fix the times
and places within the District, at which every
such Court shall be held.
Now, therefore, I, Thomas Gore Browne,
the Governor of the Colony, do hereby, in pur-
suance and execution of the said power and
authority, fix that Sessions of the District
Court of WELLINGTON, shall be held at
Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, on
the third Wednesday in every month, excepting
the months of January, June, July, and
December, in every year, or as soon as con-
veniently may be after every such day
respectively, and by adjournment at Grey
Town, in the said District of Wellington, on
such days as the Judge of the said Court shall
from time to time deem necessary.
As witness my hand this sixth day
of July, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-nine.
