Colony of New Zealand, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME
GREETING :

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly intituled "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1858," it is enacted that it
shall be lawful for the Governor by Warrant
under his hand, from time to time, to appoint
Polling Places for each Electoral District
within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such Polling Places to be the
Principal Polling Place for the District, and
all or any of such Polling Places at any time
to abolish, and to appoint other Polling
Places in lieu thereof: AND WHEREAS by
another Act of the General Assembly intituled
"The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," it is
enacted that, subject to certain provisions
therein contained, every Election of the Super-
intendent, or of a Member of the Provincial
Council of a Province, shall be conducted in
the manner prescribed by "The Regulation
of Elections Act, 1858," aforesaid, and all the
provisions of the said last mentioned Act shall
apply to the Election of Superintendents and
Members of Provincial Councils :

NOW KNOW YE, that I, Thomas Gore
Browne, the Governor of the said Colony, in
pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Acts, do hereby appoint the
undermentioned places to be Polling Places for
the respective Districts hereinafter specified for
the Election of the Superintendent and of
Members of the Provincial Council of the Pro-
vince of Nelson namely:—

For the Town of Nelson District,—
The Court House, Nelson
The School-Room, known as Campbell's
School; and
The Odd Fellow's Hall

For the Suburban North District,—
The School-Room, " Suburban North"

For the Waimea East District,—
The School-Room, Richmond, "Waimea
East"; and
The School-Room, "Suburban South"

For the Waimea West District,—
The School-Room, "Waimea West"

For the Waimea South District,—
The School-Rooms at Spring Grove and
Wakefield, "Waimea South"

For the Motueka District,—
The Literary Institution, Motueka

For the Massacre Bay District,—
At Collingwood—The Court House
At Motupipi—The School House; and
At Takaka—such place as may be named
by the Returning Officer

For the Wairau District,—
The Court House, Beaver, Wairau
The House of Mr. John Frazer, Waihopai
The House of Mr. Charles Watts, Wairau
Valley
The House of Mr. George McRae, Blarich,
Awatere; and
The House of Mr. Downes, Waitohi

And I do further appoint the several Polling
