PURSUANT to the Land Claims Settlement Act 1856, the Claims specified in the
annexed Schedule will be investigated in open Court, at Russell, Bay of Islands, on
Monday, the 8th of March next, at which time and place the Claimants and all
parties interested are required to attend, with their witnesses and the original deeds or docu-
ments relating to the respective claims.

William Cook.
Bay of Islande.
This was an original claim of Cook and Day No. 69
and 69a. Commissioners Godfrey and Richmond,
2nd May 1842 and 23rd March 1843, reported for
40 acres and 200 acres respectively in favour of
William Cook and the representatives of Robert
Day, deceased. Grants prepared accordingly but
not issued, the heir-at-law of Robert Day not ap-
pearing. Present claimant derives from Mary Cook,
the only child of Robert Day.

John Webster
and
John Logan Campbell,
As Executors of G. F. Russell,
Hokianga.
This was an original claim of Henry Jellicoe No. 122
and 122a, Commissioners Godfrey and Richmond,
1st May 1843 reported in favour of the representa-
tives of Jellicoe for 59 acres, Governor FitzRoy,
19th October 1842 awarded G. F. Russell, who
held a mortgage on this land, £1442 and £100
scrip credit which was never exercised, nor a grant
issued.

John Irwin.
Onewhero,
Bay of Islands.
This is a claim under an alleged purchase from the
natives, dated 26th February 1836, by William
Thomas Robbins. Claim notified to Government
October 1853.
