SAILORS' HOMES are established at the following places for the exclusive benefit of Seamen, where, in addition to being provided with Board and Lodging at the lowest possible rate, they have the
advantage of being able to attend the Libraries and Reading Rooms free of expense. In some of the Homes Schools have been established, which afford to Seamen who are desirous of rising in their
profession the opportunity of qualifying themselves to become Mates or Masters of Vessels. There are Sailors Homes in England-Well street London, Poplar London, Sunderland, North Shields,
Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff, Falmouth, Devonport, Plymouth, Dover, Portsmouth. Ireland-Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Queenstown, Limerick, Scotland-Glasgow, Greenock, Leith.
