Cape Schank On highest point of Cape Schank, Bass's Straits Flashing White Tower now building, expected to be lighted within six months.
Wilson's Promontory On extreme southern point of Wilson's Promontory, Bass's Straits Fixed White Tower now building, expected to be lighted within eight months.

HARBOUR LIGHTS are to be placed at the entrance of the undermentioned Ports in the course of the year, full particulars of which will hereafter be given :-

BEACONS.

Apollo Bay Bea- cons Two on Cape Bun- bury, situated about 11 miles N.E. from Cape Otway Light- house Inner white, outer red Bearing from each other S.E. & S. and N.W. $\frac{1}{4}$ N.
Two on Point Hay- ley, şituated about 9 miles N.E. from Cape Otway Light- house Inner white, outer black Bearing from each other E. $\frac{1}{4}$ N. and W. $\frac{1}{4}$ S. These beacons are intended to mark the position of Henty's Reef, which lies about 2 miles off Cape Bunbury. with not more thar 18 feet on it at low water. The position of the reef is marked by the intersection of two lines, the one drawn through the beacons on Point Hayley, the other through the beacons on Cape Bunbury.
Nepean Rock Bea- con Nepean dry rock at entrance of Port Phillip Red, cone shaped ...
Point Nepean Bea- con On Point Nepean, a little above high water mark White, cone shaped, 20 feet high Bears E. and W. with Nepean Rock beacon when in a line, and low lighthouse on with Shortland's Bluff flagstaff marks position of Corsair Rock.
Point Lonsdale Beacon Point Lonsdale, 200 feet N.W.of the flagstaff Red pillar, with skeleton, ball, 20 feet high Thwart mark to mark rock off Point Lonsdale, bear- ing in one with flagstaff N.W. by N.
Swan Point High Beacon Middle of Swan Point White mast, 80 feet high, surmounted with red cone This beacon kept open of Low Lighthouse point leads clear of Lonsdale Rock.
Swan Point Low Beacons (2), 300 feet apart Extreme of Swan Point Northern red, southern black, cone shaped, with a ball over Marks to clear knoll in West Channel bear from each other S.W. $\frac{1}{4}$ W. N.E. $\frac{1}{4}$ E.
Williamsand Bea- cons (2) Opposite Swan Bay Eastern black, with square head; western red, with square head Thwart marks to clear knoll in West Channel bear from each other E. by S. and W. by N.
Anonyma Rock Beacon... Rock off Red Bluff, near Brighton White mast, with chequered ball, in 5 feet water, 16 feet high from high water mark Lighthouse Gellibrand's Point N.W. $\frac{1}{4}$ N., Red Bluff E. by S.

North Pope's Eye, marked N. North end of Pope's Eye shoal, in 24 fect Red, 2nd class, cone High Lighthouse, W. $\frac{1}{4}$ S. Extreme of Swan Point, N. $\frac{1}{4}$ W.
South side of West Channel. Royal George, No. 2 S.W. extremity of Royal George shoal, in 18 feet, between South end of Simmond's and West Channel White, 1st class, cone, staff and ball High Lighthouse, S.W. $\frac{1}{4}$ W. Mount Eliza, E. by N. $\frac{1}{4}$ N.
Simmond's Spit, No. 4 S.W. end of Simmond's Spit. in 30 feet White, 2nd class, cone High Lighthouse. S.W. by W. $\frac{1}{4}$ W. White Cliff, S.E. $\frac{1}{4}$ E.
Fork, No. 6 West edge of William- sand, in 18 feet. White, 2nd class, cone High Lighthouse, W.S.W.; South extreme of trees on Mud Island, S.E. by E. $\frac{1}{4}$ E.
Wandsworth Knoll, No. 8 E. side of West Channel, in 8 feet White, 3rd class, cask with red perch Black Beacon, on Swan Point, S.W. $\frac{1}{4}$ W. Plack Beacon on Williamsand, E. by N. $\frac{1}{4}$ N.
Channel Buoy, No. 10 West edge of William- sand, in 18 feet White, 2nd class, cone High Lighthouse, S.W. Arthur's Seat, S.E. by E. $\frac{1}{4}$ E.
Elbow Buoy, No. 12 N.W. elbow of William- sand, in 18 feet White, 1st class, cone, with staff and ball Indented Head, N by W. $\frac{1}{4}$ W. Arthur's Seat, S.E. by E. $\frac{1}{4}$ E.
