PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion
of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS the General Assembly of New Zealand now stands
prorogued to the sixth day of April instant, and it is expedient
further to prorogue the same; Now, therefore, I, the Governor, in pur-
suance of the authority in me vested in that behalf, do hereby further
prorogue the said General Assembly to Saturday, the Tenth day of April
instant; and I do hereby further announce and proclaim that the said
General Assembly shall assemble for the despatch of business on the
aforesaid Tenth day of April next, at two o'clock, P.M., in the General
Assembly House, at Auckland, and the Honorable Members of the
Legislative Council and the Members of the House of Representatives,
respectively, are hereby required to give their attendance at the said time
and place accordingly.

Given under my Hand and issued under the Public Seal of the
Colony of New Zealand, at Government House, at Auck-
land, this Fifth day of April, in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight.
