PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS
GORE BROWNE, Companion of
the most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand, and
Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by an Act passed by the
General Assembly of New Zealand,
intituled "The Counties Act, 1856," it is
enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor
on the recommendation of the Superintendent
of any Province of the said Colony from time
to time by Proclamation to be published in the
Government Gazette of the Colony to Consti-
tute any portion of such Province a County,
Hundred, or Parish, and that all such Counties,
Hundreds and Parishes shall have such designa-
tion and limits as in and by the Proclamation
constituting the same shall be prescribed.

Now, therefore, I, the Governor of New
Zealand, on the recommendation of the Super-
intendent of the Province of Otago, do
proclaim and declare, and I do hereby
constitute that portion of the Province of
Otago bounded on the North by a line running
due East and West (true bearing) in transit
with New River, South Point. On the South
by the Ocean. On the West by the Ocean.
On the East by a line running North and
South (true bearing) in transit with the East
point of Long Bush, as the same is delineated on
the map hereunto annexed to be the HUNDRED
OF CAMPBELL TOWN.

That portion of the said Province bounded
on the North by the Makerewa. On the
South, by a line running East and West (true
bearing) in transit with New River South
point. On the West by the New River.
On the East by a line running from the mouth
of Tussack Creek on the Makerewa to the East
point of Long Bush; thence due South (true
bearing) to Campbell Town Hundred, as the
same is delineated on the map hereunto an-
nexed to be the HUNDRED OF INVERCARGILL.

That portion of the said Province bounded
on the North by a line running due East and
West in transit with the top of Forrest Hill.
On the South by the New River and the Ocean.
On the East by the New River, Makerewa
and Tussack Creek. On the West by the Wai-
matuck, as the same is delineated on the map
hereunto annexed, to be the HUNDRED OF
NEW RIVER.

That portion of the said Province bounded
on the North by a line running due East and
West (true bearing) in transit with the top of
Forrest Hill from the Omut Creek to Jacob's
River. On the Eastward and part North by
the Southern edge of the Waimatuck Moss,
and thence by the Waimatuck Creek to
the Ocean. On the South by the Ocean.
On the West by a line running due South
(true bearing) from the Sea Beach to the
Omut Creek, a point where it bends South
Eastward, thence the Omut Creek to the
Northern boundary, and by Jacob's River to
the Yellow Bluff at the Southern side of the
Waimatuck Moss, as the same is delineated on
the map hereunte annexed to be the HUNDRED
OF JACOB'S RIVER; and

That portion of the said Province bounded
on the North by a line running due East and
West (true bearing) from the Mataura to the
Long Bush in transit with the South boundary
of Licensed Run 97. On the East by the
Mataura. On the South by the Sea, and on
the West by a line running due North and
South (true bearing) from the Sea to the Long
Bush in transit with the East end of Long Bush,
as the same is delineated on the map hereunto
annexed, to be the HUNDRED OF OTARAMIKA.
