of Manawatu,
to be a Justice of the Peace for the Province
of Wellington.

has, at his own request, been removed from the
Commission of the Peace for the Province of

At Cafler's Station, Wangarie
At Skelton's Station, Matakana
At Mr. William Rowe's house, Great Barrier
At Montgomery's Inn, Lucas' creek

Waimate, at such convenient place at Hoki-
anga, as shall be specified by the Returning

THE following Rules, framed and estab-
lished by the Land Claims Commissioner,
pursuant to the "Land Claims Settlement
Act, 1856," and approved by the Governor
in Council, are published for general informa-
tion.

RULES,

Framed and established by the undersigned
Land Claims Commissioner, Francis Dillon
Bell, Esquire, in pursuance of the powers
vested in him in that behalf by the "Land
Claims Settlement Act, 1856/"

  1. The Court is open daily at Auckland, for
    the transaction of ordinary business; except
    when the Commissioner is absent to hold sittings
    appointed at other places, by notice in the
    General or Provincial Government Gazettes.

  2. Sittings of Assistant Commissioners will
    be held at such times and places as may be ap-
    pointed by notice as aforesaid.

  3. Proceedings in every claim in respect
    whereof no Grant has been issued, must be
    initiated by filing a Notification, printed forms
    whereof can be obtained on application to the
    Clerk of the Court. Such Notification must
    be filed before the 1st day of July, 1858.

  4. Claimants under Original Land Claims in
    respect whereof the Memorial Fee of five pounds
