District of Rangiawhia to the Grant by his
Excellency the Governor of New Zealand unto
the Right Reverend Jean Baptiste Francois
Pompallier, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auck-
land, his heirs and assigns, pursuant to the
provisions of the said Act, of a piece of land
situated at Rangiawhia, on the side of the
Rangiawhia Lake, and called Te Rau Kopure,
containing one hundred and ninety acres, or
thereabouts, in trust for the site and endow-
ment of a School for Natives and Half-castes
in connection with the Roman Catholic
Church.

formity with the provisions of the Constitution
Act, his Excellency has been pleased to leave
the same to its operation.

Walter Harsant, Esq., Whaingaroa,
George Manners Sutton Mitford, Esq., Ka-
whia,
Francis Dart Fenton, Esq., Waikato District,
Herbert Samuel Wardell, Esq., Turanga.
These appointments to take effect from the
1st August next.

I, WILLIAM N. SEARANCKE, a person duly
appointed in that behalf under the provisions
of the "New Zealand Native Reserves Act,
1856," hereby report that I have ascertained
the assent of the Aboriginal Inhabitants of the
District of Rangiawhia to the Grant by his
Excellency the Governor of New Zealand unto
the Right Reverend Jean Baptiste Francois
Pompallier, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auck-
land, his heirs and assigns, pursuant to the
provisions of the said Act, of a piece of land
situated at Rangiawhia called Karangapaihau,
containing one acre two roods and fourteen
perches, in trust for the site of a Church and
School in connection with the Roman Catholic
Church.

adhesive, 3s. 6d.

Ink, black, at per pint, 1s.
Ditto, red, at per pint, 1s. 6d.
India Rubber, at per lb., 6s.
Inkstands, pewter, each 3ยฝ-inch in diameter,
3s. 6d. and upwards, according to size:
