Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
issue a Writ of Summons to

calling him to the Legislative Council of New
Zealand.

GEORGE SISSON COOPER, Esq.,
to be Commissioner for the purchase of Native
lands for the Hawke's Bay district, the boundary
whereof commences at the mouth of the Wharea-
må River, and continues thence to Te Ore Ore at
the head of the Wairarapa Valley, thence along
the Southern edge of the 70-mile Bush to the
Tararua Mountains, thence along the Tararua
and Ruahine Ranges to the Northern boundary
of the Province of Wellington, thence follow-
ing the said Northern boundary (the 39th
parallel of Latitude) to the Coast, thence along
high-water mark to the mouth of the Wharea-
ma River.
