IN conformity with the directions of his
Excellency the Governor, it is hereby no-
tified for general information, that Writs for
the election of Members of the House of Re-
presentatives for the undermentioned districts
in the Islands of New Zealand having been
issued in accordance with the provisions of
an Act to grant a Representative Constitution
to the Colony of New Zealand, the Re-
turning Officers for the said several Districts
have returned the said Writs, with certificates
to the effect that the undermentioned gentle-
men have been duly elected to serve as Mem-
bers of the said House of Representatives for
the said several districts:-
CANTERBURY.
For the Town of Lyttelton-
James Edward Fitzgerald, Esq.
For the Christchurch Country District-
John Hall, Esq.
Dingley Askham Brittin, Esq.
For the Town of Christchurch-
Henry Sewell, Esq.
For the Akaroa District-

IN conformity with the directions of his
Excellency the Governor it is hereby
tified for general information, that a Writ for
the election of a Superintendent of the Pro-
vince of Otago having been issued in accor-
dance with the provisions of an Act to grant
a Representative Constitution to the Colony
of New Zealand, the Principal Returning
Officer for the aforesaid Province has returned
the said Writ, with a certificate to the effect
that the undermentioned Gentleman has been
duly elected to serve as Superintendent of the
Province of Otago.
