HIS Excellency the Governor has been
pleased to direct that the following
communication received from Her Majesty's
Secretary of State for the Colonies, and having
reference to the Circular Despatch published
in Gazette No. 6 of this year, regarding the
Certificates to be obtained by Officers visiting
England on leave of absence, should be pub-
lished for general information.

Mr. Labouchere presents his compliments
to Colonel Gore Browne, and requests that it
may be understood that the reference contained
in the Circular Instruction of the 4th of
August to the Colonial Regulations, should
have pointed to the 7th Article of the 1st sec-
tion of chapter 4, instead of the 7th section of
the 10th chapter of those Regulations.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of
the General Assembly of New Zealand
entitled "The Marriage Act, 1854," the fol-
lowing names of OFFICIATING MINISTERS
within the meaning of the said Act, are publish-
ed for general information :-

Wesleyan Methodist Society.
The Reverend William Gittos.

Congregational Independents.
The Reverend James Francis Mandeno.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of
Births, Deaths and Marriages for New Zealand,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Names of
OFFICIATING MINISTERS for 1856 have been duly
sent in to me, in addition to the names in the lists
published respectively on the 25th of January,
the 19th of March, the 1st of May, and the
9th of June, of the present year, in the New
Zealand Government Gazette.
