April 14, 1856.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to
be notified for general information, that
a Warrant uuder his hand and the Seal of the
Colony has been issued to SIDNEY STEPHEN,
Esquire, Chief Justice, to administer the Oath
of Allegiance to the Members of the General
Assembly, on their meeting on Tuesday the
15th instant, at noon, when His Honour will
be in attendance at the Assembly House for
that purpose.

WITH reference to the Proclamation of
the 9th February last, calling a meet-
ing of the General Assembly on the 15th
instant, the Governor directs it to be notified
that His Excellency will deliver his Address
to the Houses of Legislature, at two, p. m.,
to-morrow.
