the Government has been pleased to
appoint
ARCHIBALD WATSON SHAND, Esquire,
to be a Resident Magistrate, and Collector of
Customs at the Chatham Islands.
By His Excellency's command,

man should be transferred from the Commis-
sion of the Peace for the Province of Can-
terbury to the Commission of the Peace for
the Province of Nelson:
