With reference to the Proclamation of
the 4th July last proroguing the
meeting of the General Assembly until to-
morrow, the 8th instant, His Excellency the
Officer administering the Government directs
it to be notified that the meeting referred to
will take place at the Assembly House to-
morrow, at 2 o'clock p.m.

for general information that, in virtue of the
power vested in him by the New Zealand
Constitution Act, 15 and 16th Victoria,
Section 38, he has been pleased to appoint
Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
7th August, 1855.
HIS Excellency the Officer administer-
ing the Government has been
pleased to direct that the name of the
undermentioned gentleman should be added
to the general Commission of the Peace for
the Islands of New Zealandβ
